Ari Emanuel’s ex-wife is selling her $20 million LA home

In 2005, Ari Emanuel – best known as co-CEO of the Beverly Hills-based sports and entertainment giant Effort, and the real-life inspiration of Hollywood talent agent Ari Gold in the HBO series “Entourage” – has handed out around $10 million for a lavish two-building estate in the affluent neighborhood of Brentwood Park. After Emanuel’s divorce in 2018, the property passed to his ex-wife Sarah Addington, and now it’s appeared on the open market.

Addington first put the spread on the market last August for nearly $26 million, before dropping the price to $21 million and then scrapping the listing altogether. This time it starts with a new, improved request of $20 million, though that’s still about double what she and her ex paid for the place 17 years ago.

Built in 1987, the French Norman-style structure has since undergone a complete overhaul by a Los Angeles-based interior designer Windsor blacksmith. Nestled on a gated lot spanning over half an acre and in front of an attached three-car garage, the estate features a white wood paneled main house offering nearly 7,000 square feet of living space with rich hardwood floors and coffered walls and ceilings throughout. There’s also a matching two-story guest house on the premises.

As for the main residence, highlights include an entrance hall displaying a curved staircase, as well as a spacious living room adorned with French doors that flow outside. A formal dining room adorned with a glass ceiling and a duo of built-in china cabinets connects to a gourmet kitchen equipped with high-end Viking appliances, a center island and a glass-enclosed dining area.

Sequestered in a wing of its own, the sumptuous main retreat sits under a decorative ceiling and includes a sitting area, walk-in closets and double soaking tubs, a study and meditation room. Another wing has three guest bedrooms with access to a children’s library and indoor basketball court, while a downstairs nanny suite is adjacent to a mudroom and laundry room.

Particularly demanding attention is the aforementioned guest house, which is fully equipped with a bedroom, a cinema room, a billiard room and a gym. And the chic amenities continue outside, where manicured grounds include a pool and spa, plus an alfresco dining area complete with a fireplace and barbecue grill.

It’s not yet clear where Addington will move, but Emanuel recently purchased a $28 million estate in the Beverly Hills neighborhood. The Brentwood List is owned by Siv Cotton and Landon Clements from Engel & Völkers.
