CoEP to mark Engineer’s Day with annual CoEP Abhimaan Award

To mark Engineer’s Day, the College of Engineering Pune (CoEP) Alumni Association will present its annual COEP Abhimaan Award to five alumni on 19 September. The award will be presented by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.

“The COEP Abhimaan Award is given annually to illustrious alumni to recognize their outstanding work in their field. This year we are presenting the award to our alumni – well known author, monk and life coach Gaur Gopal Das, Jagdish Kadam, Founding Chairman and Director, Raj Path Infracon Pvt Ltd, Pune Satish Khandare, Additional Managing Director of Police, Ladakh Police Chief, Vinayak Pai, CEO of Tata Projects Ltd and Vilas Tawde, former Managing Director and CEO of Essar Oil and Gas,” said Bharat Gite, Chairman of the CoEP Alumni Association.

Gite also said selected students from modest backgrounds would be offered alumni corps scholarships.

“The purpose of the events, sessions and mentor-mentee discussions that we often organize is to have an exchange that will benefit future engineering students to better understand the industry. The Student Support Club is a monetary aid initiative where we recognize selected students and offer them scholarships,” said Ankita Chordia Sancheti, Treasurer of the CoEP Alumni Association.
