Dior Maison unveils a line of tableware and its very first gardening collection
For the first time, Dior Maison unveils a gardening collection entitled “Lucky Milly”. The creations are accompanied by a line of tableware, adorned with lily of the valley designs.
In his memoirs, Christian Dior recalls inheriting his mother’s passion for flowers – he writes in detail about the happiness he felt when surrounded by plants and gardeners. Today, as an ode to Christian Dior’s love for flowers, Dior Maison unveils a new line of tableware adorned with lily of the valley illustrations. Aptly titled “New Lily of the Valley” by Dior, these illustrations are joined by those of clover, recognized as the couturier’s lucky charms.
Perfect for the homeowner with good taste, the collection features wicker designs including slots, baskets, frames, boxes and more. These are complemented by dreamy porcelain plates and decorative glassware, perfect for brightening up the dinner table.
What’s most exciting about Dior Maison’s new collection, however, is the launch of its first garden collection. Entitled ‘Lucky Mily’, the line was specially designed by Cordelia de Castellane, and offers a series of creations that are inspired by nature.
Evoking the tender moments shared between Christian Dior and his mother in the middle of their rose garden in Normandy, the line offers an apron gracefully decorated with clovers, as well as a watering can, gloves, tools and pots.
A whimsical collection of accessories, the designs come in shades of green, white and ochre, and feature a handwritten “Christian Dior” signature as the finishing touch.
