Nor’easter hits the east coast with wind and snow

On Saturday, a vicious northeast dumped snow and brought gusty winds from Virginia to Maine.

Parts of 10 states were under blizzard warning: Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, as well as much of the Delmarva Peninsula in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.

The storm caused coastal flooding and widespread power outages, with some places receiving more than two feet of snow and winds blowing up to 83 mph on Cape Cod. Over 1,000 flights have been cancelled.

Winds that had been blowing over 80mph on Saturday eased on Sunday, and temperatures soared into the upper 20s and 20s as people headed out to dig.
